Tessa's Story...
Tessa is a fabulous dog. She's easy to have around and is very adaptable. She sleeps in the bedroom, sometimes in a crate and other times on a dog bed. She's great in the car and does well on leash. Tessa is about 2 years old and approximately 25 pounds. She is being fostered with a busy family who has six other dogs of all sizes (from Chihuahua to Great Pyr) and Tessa fits in to the crowd easily. There is a four year old granddaughter in the household who is in charge of the animals :) and Tessa does very well with her as well. She's being house trained and learning quickly. She also enjoys outside play time and now spends several hours a day playing outdoors. To meet Tessa, please email info@FORrescue.net. She's fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Huntsville Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
