My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keefer is one fantastic dog. He is such a happy boy. And why wouldn't he be? Keefer was kept chained up for over a year...not because he was bad, but because his owner did not have a fence and didn't want him to get hurt. Still - a dog on a chain? Someone who noticed Keefer chained finally went to the owner and asked for permission to take the dog.

Keefer LOVES being free. His favorite game of all is "fetch." He learned to fetch in under 10 minutes. He is a very smart and loving dog.

Keefer is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs about 50 beautiful pounds. He has been completely vetted, including microchip. Now Keefer just needs that perfect family - a family who will let him run and will adore playing fetch with him. He will let you toss a ball for hours!

Keefer is in Arkansas where he was rescued. He is in a foster home, not a shelter. Weekly transport to the northeast is available.
