Big Mac's Story...
Hi! My name is Big Mac! I am a really cute dude and I am just looking for my furever home! I was dropped off by my owner to a shelter in Georgia when I was 3 weeks old...I had a horrible skin infection but I am all better now. I was born on March 23, 2013, weigh about 3 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. My mom (who was dropped off at the shelter too) is a Boston terrier and my daddy was a dachshund. I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines and on flea and heartworm prevention. The vet has checked me out and given me a clean bill of health! I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $350, and covers all of my vetting, and includes the transport fee--I am currently being fostered in South Carolina, but I can catch a ride up north to meet my new family. Please email my rescue at daybeforetherainbow@yahoo.com to get an adoption application! Thanks for checking me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Mac, a Newark Dachshund/Boston Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Boston Terrier for sale in Newark, or seeking a Dachshund/Boston Terrier puppy from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Boston Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
