Cherry's Story...
Cherry is an amazing pup. She is affectionate, loves to play, and is good with people of all ages. She loves to be outside so a backyard would be best for this girl. A family with children would be great and other pets are okay too. She would be a wonderful family pet. Cherry is approximately 7 - 9 months old and weighs 15 lbs.

Here is what her foster family had to say:

Cherry has been a joy to foster. She is a very sweet, loveable and confident young dog that loves to run and play in the backyard with her toys. Everyone she meets falls in love with her adorable face and her beautiful soft coat. One very unusual thing about Cherry is that she loves to hunt for worms in the grass. She also loves being outside in the rain, she seems to realize that it will bring a better chance of catching a worm! Cherry would be a fisherman's best friend as she'll bring you her worm to show it off.

For a puppy, Cherry is very well behaved. She is quiet in the home and will sit in the window watching people go by with no barking. She never barks unless there is a reason. She is fully house trained now and has very good manners around food. She never begs. She is not destructive and never chews on anything but her own toys. She knows some basic commands such as sit, and lay down and will come most of the time when called (unless she is hunting worms in the yard). We do not crate her as there is no need to. She loves playing with my dog and pretty much just ignores any cat she sees.

Cherry is friendly with everyone she meets including children of all ages. She is still a playful puppy with puppy energy and can be a bit rough when playing so she may be too much for very young children. We are currently working on her leash training and she is coming along very nicely. Like any puppy her age, she will need further training. She does love going for car rides and is very good in the car. She love being outside and enjoys playing with our other dog.

Cherry would be great for a family with older children (11 and up) that can handle her nippy play. Another playful dog in the family would be nice for her to play with but it is not necessary. Cherry is very calm and well mannered during the day, but in the evening she would benefit from a good long walk or a trip to the dog park to drain her energy that she has been saving all day, that way you'll have a nice calm dog for the evening.

If you would like to make this lovely pup part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherry, a Hamilton Pomeranian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Pomeranian puppy from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
