I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
We just can't walk Skyler down the street without this adorable guy drawing tons of attention. We figured it was his beautiful face or his flowing coat that made heads turn...but really it's a combo of that combined with his very engaging personality. This exceptional Havanese/Maltese weighs 8 lbs at just about 9 months old...we expect that he'll be about 10 lbs when full-grown. Skyler can be a bit timid when he first meets new people...but give him just a minute or 2 (with a few hugs, kisses and treats) and he's your best friend for life. Skyler naturally has a calm temperament and could be very happy as a lap dog...as well as a constant companion for that special person. We envision Skyler either in an adult-only home where he can spend lots of quality time with his family...or in a home with very gentle children 12+ who absolutely love dogs! We feel that Skyler should be enrolled in puppy socialization classes where he can learn his basic skills in a fun environment. This should be followed up by Obedience I with family participation to use positive reinforcement as the tool to get Skyler to be a very well-behaved adult dog. He's so smart and wants to please so badly that there's no question he has what it takes to be an exceptional family companion. Skyler is a non-shedding guy and will therefore require periodic grooming to keep his coat healthy and matt-free.
Skyler will be transported to Denver in late June/early July. Applications are currently being accepted for this amazing and devoted best friend.
