Chiquita's Story...
This little Chiquita was rescued from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. She is a gorgeous girl who is as sweet as she is pretty! We can't imagine why someone would do that to her but their loss is your gain. Now Chiquita will have the opportunity to live the life she deserves. She seems to be about 15 weeks old and we really don't know what her true mix is. We do know she will make a wonderful new family member, could it be yours? If she is your kind of Chiquita, please email sweetadoptables@ymail.com for an application. Full vetting including shots, worming and spay, plus her transport here to us included in her $375 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chiquita, a Westport Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie for sale in Westport, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
