Colbie's Story...
Meet Miss Colbie!!! What a doll baby. She is 2-3 yrs old and was rescued from a concerned person that found her hanging around her house. It was so cold and she was starving. She was very thin when first rescued, but is starting to slowly grow into the size she's meant to be, although we think she is a naturally trim cat, which is great, because you can give her lots of treats (which she loves) and not worry about it! Colbie is about as sweet as they come. You've never met a lovebug of a kittie until you've met Colbie. She's never met a stranger and will lay at your feet and roll over to show you her belly the minute she meets you. She loves absolutely everyone she comes in contact with, and is a huge snuggler. She would love to go to a home where she could be showered with lots of attention constantly. She wants to be in your presence at all times, and wants to sit next to you, or preferably, in your lap, whenever possible. She's just a fantastic, one-in-a-million little girl, who is so grateful to be rescued and will make a very happy home for whomever is lucky enough to adopt her. She is leukemia negative, has had all her shots and is spayed. If interested in this angel please email purrfectfriendsforadoption@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colbie, a Clarksville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Clarksville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Clarksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
