Nena's Story...
Hi, my name is Nena. I am a very lucky girl now, but it hasn't always been a good life. I used to live with some people that forgot about me. One day they put me outside but forgot to let me come back inside. I had to live outside all the time. I tried to stay as clean as I could, but it's hard when you never get a bath. Nobody brushed me or cut my hair so it got really long and tangled up. I even had things get stuck in my fur that I couldn't get out. It got really heavy and pulled my skin all the time which hurt me. The people took me for a ride in the car and I was happy because I love love love to ride in the car. But they left me at this scary place where there were lots of dogs barking and crying. I heard them say they didn't have room for me but honest I promise I don't take up much room. I'm only 14 lbs. The new people at this place were nice to me though so that wasn't so bad, but I was really scared when I first got there, so I barked and wouldn't let them touch me. After a few days I figured out they were like the other people and they really liked me. I let them give me a bath and cut some of the hair out of my eyes and ohhhh did it feel so good!!!! I was so happy that I jumped in the nice ladies arms. My foster mommy came to see me there and took me home with her. She must really love me a lot because she keeps me inside with her and understands I like her to go outside with me because I worry I won't get to come back inside. I'm always a good girl and never potty in the house. My mommy took me to see these nice ladies that gave me another bath and made me feel so pretty. They cut off all that nasty stuff that was on me and it felt great!!!!! I love to be brushed now because it doesn't hurt anymore. I heard my mommy tell someone I lost 2 1/2lbs when they cut my hair. That stuff was heavy! I love to run and play now. I like to chase the ball and sometimes I remember to bring it back to her. My mommy was going to make me sleep in the crate at night but I gave her my pitiful eyes so she let me sleep with her. I'm a good girl though and sleep all night curled up next to her. I haven't been around many little kids but they seem to be ok. They are nice when they pet me and I like that. My mommy showed me some cats but they were boring. I have foster siblings that I want to play with but they don't really like to play. I really want another dog that will play with me. I want to run and chase and wrestle around and when I'm done I want to lay next to my mommy and have a nap. My mommy thinks I am a cocker spaniel and poodle mix. I've heard her tell people that I am spayed, have a microchip, all my shots and heartworm negative. I'm not sure what all that means but she says it like it's a good thing so it must be. My mommy says I am a very special girl and deserve the best! If you're interested in adopting this sweet girl, please contact her foster mom at bb65tx@sbcglobal.net Located in Weatherford, TX. The adoption fee is $75.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nena, a Weatherford Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
