Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bugsy is an absolutely adorable 4 month old Pit Bull mix. Currently 18 pounds, but growing quickly, he came into the shelter suffering from puppy strangles, or juvenile cellulitis, which is a skin disorder that affects puppies. His muzzle was covered with puffy, painful lesions and his ear canals were so swollen, he could barely tolerate his ears being touched. After some great veterinary care, his face is healing and the fur filling in on his face. While puppy strangles can cause facial scarring, it is the only lasting results of the disease. However, at the rate Bugsy is healing, his face may end up nearly perfect - his fur is a stunning deep brown!
The epitome of what every puppy should be, Bugsy is playful and mischievous, he plays hard and rests hard. This quirky little pup nearly never sleeps on a dog bed properly, preferring to hang out of it on all sides. Bugsy loves to seek solace in his foster mom's lap for some quiet time. He has become very good at recognizing doggy toys, and prefers toys that are much bigger than him! One of his most favorite things to do is play with two of his foster siblings, a little male dog and a larger female. He also has a foster cat sibling and is learning to respect feline boundaries. He is house trained, crate trained and walks very well on a leash. Bugsy's looking for an active, caring family, to love him 'furever'!
