Jake's Story...
Looking for a "great" big dog? How about Jake? He's a 7 year old sweetheart. Jake's family moved and couldn't take him with them. They were very sad to have to part with him. This boy knows the following basic commands: sit, lay, fetch and he comes when he's called. Jake likes other dogs and is great on a leash. He was an inside dog and was never crated because of his impeccable house manners. You will absolutely love laid back Jake.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Visit anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Elyria Rottweiler/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Rottweiler/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Rottweiler/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
