My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katniss -I only weighed 14 oz. when I was rescued with my siblings, but I'm strong and healthy now! I'm a little timid but before you know it I'll get used to you. Once we're friends, I love to be petted, and I will cuddle up next to you. I love to run and play, chase balls with bells, and look out windows. I'll let you hold me, but probably only for a minute, then I'll be on my way. When I'm all pooped out, I like to find a sunbeam and curl up for a nap. I was named after the heroine in The Hunger Games.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
