Champ's Story...
Champ is a very sweet dog that gets along great with other dogs. He is a little underweight and could stand to gain another 10 lbs. or so. He loves to give kisses and is learning the ropes of being an indoor dog. He has really soft fur and loves to just follow you around the house. He's approx. a year old, but still he has some puppy tendencies and was so playful after he got a bath. He kept trying to play tug of war with his towel while drying him off.

If you'd like to meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.sarocks.org/adopt or visit us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg.

The $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative.

Adopting an animal from a foster home gives you the best option of finding a pet that matches your lifestyle and home environment, because they are in foster, our foster homes are able to give you more information on their temperament and personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champ, a San Antonio German Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Pinscher for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a German Pinscher puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Pinscher breeders who help with German Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
