Proper socialization and training benefits all mutts.Cattle Dogs are working dogs and want to please very much. They are very alert and intelligent. They will herd other animals and small children and sometimes adults. Cattle Dogs and youth volunteers have one common requirement: keep 'em busy to keep 'em out of trouble.

MuttSavers Rescue recognizes the many contributions our Youth Volunteers make to helping rescue mutts get adopted. In honor of them, each mutt is named after a Youth Volunteer as away to say "Thank you." You'll see the Youth Volunteers at the events talking about the adoptable mutts, keeping pens clean, walking older dogs, and doing their most important job: Giving Love to the Mutts!

Each week MuttSavers rescues pups and young dogs from shelters that are forced to put animals to sleep every day because of limited space and resources. There are way too many dogs being born into unwanted and unhealthy conditions. MuttSavers pups are so happy to be rescued.
