My name is Molly and I am a 3 yr. old, 43 lb. hound. I was found as a stray in West Virginia and sent to Penny Angels last summer because everyone thought that I was a beagle. I was in Rescue for over 6 months before I was adopted into a home that I thought was my FOREVER home. Unfortunately, my new family did not have time for me and recently surrendered me back to Penny Angels. I was a little sad when I was returned to PABR because I lost the only place that was home to me, despite the fact that I didn’t get any training and received minimal attention. I adjusted well to being back in Rescue and have spent the last few weeks in a foster home with 3 other beagles. My foster family really likes me and thinks that I am a very sweet girl!! I get along okay with their beagles, but wouldn’t mind being the only doggie in the family.
I am house trained, but could use some extra training on a leash because I am a strong gal that will take YOU for a walk if you don’t guide me in the right direction. Because of my strength, it would be best for me to be placed in a home with children over 15 years of age. I seem to like men more than I like women, but I will adapt to your environment as long as YOU are in charge! During the day, I like to relax on the couch or hang out in the yard. I am able to climb or jump over fences, though, so I would either need to find a home with a 6 ft. fence OR I would need to find a person who is willing to take me for multiple walks throughout the day!
