Paprika's Story...
Paprika just arrived from West Virginia with 9 other small dogs. She is soooo cute and lovable, she is always looking for a good snuggle. She is a little underweight right now, but when she fills out she will weigh about 10-12 pounds, just right for a spoiled lap dog. She has the biggest soulful brown eyes that are just begging you to love her. She is up to date on vax, on monthly HW preventative and is scheduled to be spayed shortly. She gets along great with other dogs, there are about 10 in her play pack, and they are a hoot to watch run and roughhouse around the yard. She would be great for a family or for a single person- in a house or an apartment. She is completely crate trained too!! Make an appointment to come meet her and you will fall in love 931-698-0303. Our application can be found at under the contact us tab. An adoption fee of $125 is required which covers the cost of vetting and saving the next dog in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paprika, a Columbia Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
