My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! Hi! Hi! I’m an energetic puppy from Ohio named Cindy after Cindy Brady. I came in with some siblings named Alice, Marsha, and Bobby! I’m a petite little girl who weighs about 15 lbs, so my nickname is Itty Bitty. My mama teases me that I have a loud voice for a pup that’s so small. She thinks I’m trying to impress everyone with how fierce I am because I’m so tiny. When you’re as small as me, everything is HUGE!I’m not sure if I’m the alpha here with 4 other dogs or just making sure I don’t get run over by the big dogs. My mama also figured out that I’m big softy and all bark with no bite. When I get excited and scared, all she has to do is pick me up and snuggle with me. Then, it’s magic! I get calm and feel wayyyyy better! Sometimes I’ll even perch right on her hip like a human baby and give kisses. That always makes my foster mama smile!

Since I’m a puppy, I have a lot of energy and a lot of learning to do. I run laps around the house and yard before looking for mischief. I'm a curious girl who loves to taste everything that comes my way-just to find out what I like. I’m a beagle girl who might just be a gourmet chef one day, so I’m doing my homework. Right? So far, I’ve sampled shoes, laundry, and paper. Paper is the best because it makes the best noise and the most mess, but I keep my foster mama company while she cleans up, so I’m a thoughtful girl.

I love to walk and considering my size, I go really far. I can walk more than a mile with no trouble and I’m learning to potty on a leash too. I love to pull because I’m so curious, so I need to work on my manners, but going outside and traveling with the big dogs is helping me learn and using up some of my baby energy. I’m almost housebroken, but I’m not 100% there yet, so you’ll have to be patient with me. I’m really good in the car so far even though I get nervous about getting into it. Once the car is moving, I usually curl up for a nice long nap. New situations and loud noises scare me, but I’m getting better and am easily reassured.

If you are looking for a sweet tri-colored beagle girl who loves to snuggle, then I just might be the pup for you!

Foster note: Miss Cindy has a loud bark so she won’t do well in an apartment. We have no kids or cats, so I’m not sure how she would do with children, but she isn’t mouthy and doesn’t nip. She also has a low prey drive.
