Hello, my name is Boddy aka Buddy and I am a 4 year old Pit Bull / Mastiff mix and I am so cool, calm and collective my foster should have called me Fonzy.  I was saved by one of the many loving family members of I.C.A.R.E. dog rescue from the streets of Anaheim.  I was being taken care of by a homeless man but he just was not able to provide the medical care for me and furnish a roof over my head or provide me with the basic nutrition that all growing dogs are in need of.  He did give me what he could…attention, patience, some basic commands (sit, no, stay, come) and he helped me learn my name.  I will never forget what that man did for me…without him…who knows where I would be.  Then, a woman from the local neighborhood by the park where the homeless man and I stayed was nice enough to put a listing up and a few weeks later a nice man from I.C.A.R.E. showed up with a car and off we went.  I now live with him in his house with his 9 year old Pit Bull foster and we get along great, but I want a younger playmate or family.  I have been told that I am very smart and contrary to my size, I am beyond gentle.  I mean, if I lose my ball or chew toy under the coffee table I can slip in, grab the ball or toy and slip out…and even if there was a house of cards on the table…they would not move.  I am good with all dogs, people and kids.  Even though I am very calm and mellow I can still go for a crazy run or play fetch until the cows come home.  I can be housed with a single person but I would prefer to be part of a family…more hands for petting me and tossing the ball around and would love a playmate around the same age and size but an older or smaller dog will be fine. I definitely need someone or a family who has the time and energy to provide me with the direction every young dog needs.  I would definitely prefer to live in a house with a yard but as long as I get outdoors I will be fine. I am very attentive, witty, assertive and eager to please…so just give me a chance.

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
