Brandy's Story...
Meet Brandy! Her sister is Candy, they were picked up on the streets of San Antonio along with their mom. Mom was a Cute little Chihuahua no more than 6 pounds who has found herself into her forever home which left her babies all alone. They were too small for surgery and adoption so MHCR took them in. They have been anything but trouble. They have watched all the other pups play as they grow strong. Now they are looking for their own home.

If you'd like to meet this dog, please email info@missyshaven.org or visit us online at http://www.missyshaven.org/ or facebook at https://www.facebook.com/missyshavenorg.

All animals adopted out from MHCR are fully vetted which means they are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, HW and flea prevention and microchipped!

Adopting an animal from MHCR allows us to save another and gives you the best option of finding a pet that matches your lifestyle and home environment, because they are in foster, our foster homes are able to give you more information on their temperament and personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brandy, a San Antonio Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
