Whiskey's Story...
Whiskey, is an affectionate, loving dog with soft, sad eyes that look right into your heart. He is very friendly with people who take care of him. He is good with women and older children. Whiskey has a sense of humor that shows in his fun, loving spirit with other dogs and humans. He is not sure about cats, but doesn’t seem to mind them. He enjoys going for walks and gets so excited when you begin the walk that he sometimes forgets his direction. But, just keep walking and he falls in beside you and enjoys being close.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskey, a Mountain Center Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Mountain Center, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Mountain Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
