My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Dunlop and I just turned 3 years old on July 21st, 2013. I am a black cocker boy with a white chest. My owner adopted me from a MO breeder a few weeks after she had already adopted a girl cocker, Jolie. She just turned 3 on the 6th of July and is the buff girl you see here in the pictures. She just got adopted and now I hope to be real soon too. We had a good life with our owner and we were loved, but then she learned that Jolie tested as heartworm positive. She traveled a lot for her job and finally decided to turn us into a NC shelter so that we could find a new forever home. I guess our owner must have done something to help Jolie to get better, as we both tested heartworm negative when these nice CCR folks took us to their vet.

At the shelter, we both got adopted out to a nice family, but then we were returned because they said that I didn't seem to like the small dog that they already had and intended to keep. I am neutered and Jolie was already spayed. I am a good boy, dog social and kid friendly. I love children and attention. I have been treated for an ear infection and I also had a minor skin infection which is now better. The vet suggested that I have a dental, so this has been done. I am completely updated on shots and I am eager to find my new forever home. If you already have a dog who is very dog social and would love to have a new pal to play with. . . .maybe my new home is with you . . . .Please fill out an application so that you can be approved to come and see me. I will make you very happy to adopt me and I would love to be a part of your family and share a great life with you, I am very good with children and I would be a great candidate to become a therapy dog. I would love to meet you!

If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful furbabies, please email: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes all the vetting and medical needs for the dog.
