Dixie (located in NC)'s Story...
HEYYYYY!!! Have you met Dixie yet??? Oh my goodness does she have a story to tell! This little girl is a Carolina Dog mix that's a year and a half and is full grown at 42 lbs. Dixie was listed as a "Free Dog" on is SC. One of our kind volunteers went to go get her, but tragedy struck and she escaped during transport and was struck by a vehicle! She went through corrective surgery and has been given a clean bill of health by her foster Momma's vet - he says she healed as if it never happened! Dixie is spayed, current on vaccines, friendly and playful and looking for a great forever home. Because she loves to play, we'd like to see her go to a home with at least 1 other dog. She has no issues with food aggression...but kind of likes to be in charge of toys! She currently is being fostered with 5 other dogs and several cats, so she's used to hanging out with a bunch of her pals. She enjoys swimming in her kiddie pool, running around with her squeaky toy showing off, and getting cuddled on the couch while she winds down for bedtime! She's got a relatively short coat that's soft and supple and doesn't shed all that much making her very low maintenance....all she needs is her forever home and YOU to make her life complete!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie (located in NC), a Cranston Carolina Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Carolina Dog for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Carolina Dog dog from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Carolina Dog breeders who help with Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
