Mickey's Story...
My story: Mickey is a little shy at first but once he knows you just want to play is happy to join in the fun. He is a little cautious compared to his other brothers but is just as friendly. He loves to play with your feet when you are sitting down if you are wearing socks. He loves to play with his siblings and will allow you to hold him for a little while but not too long. He's always running around or following his mom. He eats soft and hard food, drinks water, and uses the litter box with no issues. If he gets lost in a part of the house he hasn't gone to yet, he will just sit in one spot and meow for mom or us to find him. He is a very sweet boy with just a hint of shyness.
Good with Cats: Yes | Good with Dogs: Unknown | Good with Children: Unknown

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
