Reba's Story...
"It's puppy time!! My name is REBA, and I'm a three-month-old Labrador/ Pit Bull mix puppy who's just as sweet as can be. I'm young and playful, while I'm also quite well-behaved for a youngster. I'm happy and fun, and I'm not overly energetic; a pretty good balance, you might say. Since I'm still very young, I need to be house trained, but I think I'll get the hang of it if you'll be patient with me. I get along great with everybody, and I'd be a wonderful companion and an excellent family pet. I'd need to have a yard in my new home, and I look forward to learning how to walk on a leash so we can go out and explore the world. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I think you'll agree that I'm an absolutely adorable and lovable pup. Love, Reba" Kennel #17

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reba, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
