Sambo's Story...
Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Meet Sambo! Sambo is a sweet, loving 3 year old male GSD. He was rescued from a bad situation where he was not receiving proper care. He came into rescue very thin and heartworm positive, but as you can see he has put on quite a bit of weight. He has also been treated for the heartworms, and now has a clean bill of health!

Sambo is a very loving boy, and he wants to be right with you all the time. He acts younger than his 3 years because he spent his puppy years being miserable. He's now making up for lost time!

Sambo gets along well with other dogs, and he loves people of all ages and sizes. He's learning manners, and doing very well with basic obedience commands. He'd love to have a home of his own where he can be the center of attention. Could it be with you?

Sambo is utd onroutine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. He has been neutered and microchipped.

Sambo must go to a home where he will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $425, which includes the ground transport fee ($125) for dogs who traveled to their new home and the health certificate fee ($50) that is required by the USDA for all animals crossing state lines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sambo, a Brattleboro German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
