INITIAL BIO 06/25/2013: MEET CANDI! She is 2 years old and weighs 5 lbs; Candi is being fostered in Delray Beach, FL.
Candi was surrendered by a backyard breeder because she was unable to have puppies. So she wasn’t of any use to the breeder. :( She just arrived at her FM's house and is a little scared ~ this is the first time she has lived outside of a cage, so sad, but happy for Candi! Candi will be going to the Dogtor on 06/27/2013 for her check-up, but FM thinks she is a very healthy girl and her teeth are looking good. Candi needs to be altered, have her teeth cleaned and have all vaccinations updated.
FM put a harness and leash on Candi for the first time in her life, and little Candi just ran in circles with this new thing attached to her. FM feels that Candi is young and smart, and will soon get the hang of it. When Foster Mom knows more about her personality and housetraining, she will post an update. But for now, Candi likes her new bed and when one of the other dogs in the house comes to see her, she will jump out of her bed and chase them away. FM says that will change too, so keep watching for updates on her as she gets used to her new way of life……and freedom!
Candi is very cute; FM calls her Candi as she thinks she will turn out to be sweet as sugar. Candi is grateful to UYR for saving her and hopes that everyone who sees her will donate to UYR so they can continue to save little dogs like her.
