Harry Wilson (formerly named Diamondback) is a male brown tabby domestic short hair, born November 14th, 2007.
Harry Wilson was a stray who was hanging around the County 911 call center, until management ordered the staff to 'get rid of him'. With nowhere else to go and no one who could take him in, Harry Wilson came to Kitty Corner to find a forever home.
Harry Wilson is quite shy, and he hides from strangers. Harry Wilson is a bit shy even around the people he knows. When in a familiar environment he is 'out and about'. While he doesn't mind the proximity of people he's familiar with, approaching him makes him very nervous and causes him to hide. We can't imagine what may have happened to him outside to make him so afraid of people, all we know is it will take a patient, loving family to bring him to trust people again.
Harry Wilson gets along well with other cats, and seems to enjoy their company. He has become good buddies with Joe, and they often hang out in the large wicket basket by the window to watch the birds and nap together. Harry Wilson is pretty laid back, and he could probably get along with most other cats, as long as they weren't overly bossy or aggressive to him.
We feel Harry Wilson would do best with a very patient person who would be willing to give Harry Wilson the time and space he needs to feel comfortable enough to come to trust them. Harry Wilson needs patience, love and stability in his life to blossom into a good companion. Harry Wilson would be a wonderful 'project' for someone who enjoys working with shy animals and seeing them blossom. All he needs is love and patience.
Harry Wilson is looking for a family who can be patient with him and understand his fears, and show him that it's safe to trust people again. He will need a special person who understands he is not able to give 'instant love', and that trust and friendship must come over time. If you think you may be the right family for Harry Wilson, please call us today to come meet him.
