Fitz's Story...
Fitz - Mini Border Collie Puppy
Fitz is a darling little boy. We think he is a mini Border Collie or perhaps a spaniel mix. He and his sister were left in a box outside a local store. Despite this, they are doing great and are full of life and love. Fitz spends her days playing with the other puppies at our rescue and snoozing with his sister. He is quickly learning about toys and loves to explore his world. Fitz will be neutered and microchipped on July 11th and ready to go home with his new family on July 12th!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fitz, a Austin Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel for sale in Austin, or seeking a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
