Abby's Story...
Abby's about 1 year old and 25 lbs. We think she's a collie mix but we know for sure she's a sweet happy girl. Abby gets along great with everyone, dogs and people, (not sure about cats but don't think they would be a problem). Her happy-go-lucky personality will make her a great addition to any family. She walks fine on a leash and I think she is probably house broken. You can tell she has been someone's pet. Abby was rescued from a high-kill shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. Abby will be up to date with shots, spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative before going to her furever home. 386-236-8529 to talk to her foster mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Ormond Beach Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Ormond Beach, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Ormond Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ormond Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ormond Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ormond Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
