My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smudge was found as a stray that no one claimed. He is a very sweet little boy approximately 8 months old and fully vetted. We can only assume what Smudge’s life was like before being found by the angels of Catnip Trails. He was initially terrified of human hands, yet cried when left alone. He didn’t know how to walk on a leash, and cowered at the sight of people. He had obviously been gravely mistreated, but was still eager to trust. He craves affection and will melt when shown a kind hand and soft touch. Smudge is both crate & house trained and strives to do everything ‘right’. He is a very smart boy who is eager to please, yet knows how to entertain himself. Smudge is very gentle, but does not understand toys yet, and is just learning that play can be both safe & fun. Sure he acts all tough with other pets from a distance, but will try to hide under his blanket if any dog or cat comes too close. He’s a true baby and needs a fur-ever family who can show him that love & affection are the spice of life.
