Findley's Story...
Parker and his sister Findley are two strays that were found roaming around Findley State Park. They are 10 month old Shepherd mixes. They are wonderful dogs that are sweet and gentle. They are young and will need some training but both have wonderful dispositions and are just really nice dogs. Parker and Findley do not need to be adopted together but they do love each other and enjoy playing together. Whether you adopt one or both you will be getting a terrific pet. Stop by soon and spend some time with Parker and/or Findley to find out more about them.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Findley, a Elyria German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
