Carmen's Story...
http://www.valleydogs.org/cp_carmen-pit.html -- Hi, I am Carmen!

I found this absolutely gorgeous and friendly female pitbull we are calling Carmen. She was wondering around an enclosed apartment complex near 44th st and Thunderbird. She was paraded around, spoke to the office, and posted fliers. However, no one came forward.

She is well groomed, has great disposition around both people and dogs, and she has not shown any signs of aggression whatsoever. She was clearly someone's pet and I believe she was abandoned, as she had no collar. I have not been successful in locating the owner and the no kill shelters and agencies that I have contacted are either full or do not accept pitbulls.

Furthermore, she is not fixed and I refuse to take this energetic, vibrant, and affectionate sweetheart to Animal Care and Control for obvious reasons. I already have a male pitbull mix (with whom she gets along wonderfully), but sadly I cannot continue to house her much longer because of regulations at my place of residence. This little girl is a true gem and she absolutely deserves a warm and loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmen, a Gilbert Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
