Ariel's Story...
Ariel is named after The Little Mermaid because she really is a princess! But this princess is one who's not just sitting around waiting for someone to rescue her. Having grown up with 3 brothers, Ariel knows how to look out for herself! She is often seen wrestling with her brothers and she loves to play with anything she sees in motion, especially a toy mouse. She is also super sweet and loves to lie on your lap and sleep next to you in bed.

Ariel has incredibly beautiful markings. She is a silver tabby with gorgeous strips and she's also got a little Tortie/Calico in her so she has some dark red going through her coat. Come out to the I-10/Taylor St PetSmart and see this beauty for yourself.

Ariel was born on March 31st. She is litter box trained, updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Her adoption fee is $85.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
