I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Meet Oakley- 2 years old. White and brown Pit bull mix. Oakley is a friendly boy who adores people! He is not shy about asking for attention, and may jump or lick to get people to notice him. He enjoys playing with toys and romping in the yard.
Oakley knows some basic commands and will gladly sit for a tasty treat, but would benefit from additional training. He would do best with older kids or a dog-savvy home due to his energy level. Oakley does best with female dogs, and his play style can be a bit rough. He should meet all dogs in the home prior to adoption. No cats for Oakley though.
Come meet Oakley now adoptable at the Payson Humane Society.
The Payson Humane Society welcomes folks to come meet their Pitty Crew. Loving and amazing pitties waiting for their forever homes.

Rescue Group Info...
Big Bully Rescue is a small organization and group of friends dedicated to rescuing and re-homing bully type breeds. We also strive to help these breeds obtain a positive image through education despite the image that the general public has of them do to misinformation and media sensationalism.
We advocate spay/neuter and responsible ownership, as well as battling backyard breeding, dog fighting, and inhumane treatment of these wonderful dogs. We advocate responsible dog ownership and compassion for bully type breeds.
Our dogs are rescued from the euthanasia lists from various shelters, or from the streets. We rarely take owner turn-ins. However, in certain circumstances acceptance of an owner turn in may be considered. We are willing to offer assistance and/or provide knowledge of what may happen to your bully breed should he/she be turned into the shelter.
The breeds we rescue:
American Bulldogs, Olde English Bulldogs, Presa Canarios, Pitbulls, Bullmastiffs, Cane Corsos, Dogo Argentinos and Dogue de Bordeauxs.
Although we are not a non-profit organization quite yet, we are in the process of becoming one in the year to follow.
We do not have a shelter, we are a home based volunteer/foster rescue group.
Various adoption events held, please see our website for all current events:
To adopt a Big Bully Rescue dog, an application for adoption will need to be completed. If the application indicates a match for the dog, we will offer a meet and greet. The last step in the adoption process is a home check.
We do NOT adopt out of state.
If you live in an apartment, you will be required to provide written proof of acceptance of the dog.
If you would like to receive an application for adoption, please visit our website to find the application, complete the application and email that application over to us for review. Please email the app to:
Once we review your application and there is indication of a potential match for you and the dog you are inquiring about, we we contact you to discuss and to schedule a meet and greet.
