Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Ruby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Ruby's Story...
Ruby is about 7 years old and weighs about 5.5 lbs. She is a sweet little munchkin who was surrendered by her owner to a local animal control. She is housebroken and gets along with other dogs. Typical of most chihuahuas, it takes her a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does she is your friend for life. She likes to perch herself on your should and will remain there as long as you let her. Ruby can be a little barky if she is restricted access from you - like crating while you are home, but if she has free reign she is a perfect little lady. She deserves a great home that will enjoy her companionship. Ruby's adoption fee is $200.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (as appropriate), dewormed, fecal tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Romeoville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
