Georgie's Story...
Georgie is a very precious girl. She was the only surviving kitten in her litter, but both she and her mom were taken into the rescue. She is a fun and very affectionate girl. She loves to play, especially with her little stuffed sardine and her own tail. Her favorite place to sleep is right next to you or right on your lap. She'll definitely let you know when she wants something, especially when she thinks it's time for a treat. Georgie seems to get along with most cats and would be fine with other kitties with a slow introduction. She hasn't had a chance to meet any dogs yet, so we're not sure if she likes them or not. Georgie's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, a Leukemia test and a microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Georgie, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
