Anise's Story...
Anise is a small long haired doxie about 6-7 years old. She is a complete love, she is all about the snuggle time!! She gets along with other dogs, but is just as happy hanging out on the stoop waiting for someone to come and snuggle her. She is up to date on all vax, on monthly HW prevention and will be spayed very soon. She is a very delicate eater that likes to cover up her bowl and save some for later! She will make someone a super loving lap dog, if you are interested in meeting her contact us at 931-698-0303 or fill out an application at (located under the contact us tab). Adoption fee of $125 is required, which goes toward the vetting and rescue of another dog in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anise, a Columbia Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
