Snoopy is a wonderful and very affectionate kitty. She has an intense expression with her big yellow eyes. She has tuxedo fur and a great strut when she walks and huuuuge personality and attitude. She is a cuddly creature but only on her own terms. It was remarkable how quickly and well she accommodated to our home! She has her favourite chairs in the house and enjoys lounging in them all. She'll sleep in my bed, greets us all in the morning, when we come home, and after her naps. She is incredibly intelligent and loves wool blankets (we have one in every room for her and she knows to sit on them). She is an elegant and agile kitty (also very strong!). She meows whenever she is being told not to do something, a meow that seems to suggest "but why can't I?" She can be picked up but doesn't seem to like it too much. She loves to play with a toy we made her; she'll chase it through the whole apartment! She eats well and is a very, very clean kitty (seems to be cleaning herself ALL the time!). She can be moody and bite or scratch, but usually in a loving manner. We're working with her on the biting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snoopy, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
