Patches's Story...
Patches is just as sweet as they come. He is a 5-6 month old Basset/Australian Shepherd mix. He loves other dogs and adores people. He is just a baby and has lots to learn. He adores his foster family, which consists of two children. He is high energy and needs a family willing to give him the proper exercise he needs. Patches is housebroken and pretty well behaved for a puppy. He will bring you so much joy and love! He is neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea prevention. Email us at info@FORrescue.net if you are interested in adopting this precious boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Marietta Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Basset Hound/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
