My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Merlot. I'm about 3 months old and currently weigh about 18 pounds. I'm told that my mom was a husky mix and my dad was a german shepherd, so I'm probably going to grow up to be a fairly big girl. A family who is familiar with these breeds would be ideal for me. I'm a typical playful, energetic puppy, and because of my young age someone should be home most of the day to attend to my house training, exercise and socialization needs. I'm looking forward to going to puppy school with you!

You can meet Merlot at Wilmette Pet Center anytime during store hours 7 days a week (625 Green Bay Road, 847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to take her home on the spot, please know that you will need to complete an application first.

Merlot's adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, flea control, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, routine deworming, microchip and spay.
