My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasper: 10 month old male white mitted brown and black Maine Coon mix
Fostered in Santa Cruz

Jasper is going to be a big boy judging by the long legs and big paws he has to grow into. He is striking now and will be quite the elegant cat when he gets to his full size. He has knocked around a bit in his short life and he is a little quieter than he will be when he gets to be settled and confident in his new home. We haven't had him long. He came from a shelter and that is not a good place for any cat. He is good-natured, agreeable, and cat friendly, but I think his goofy happiness is not showing much as it will.

He has rich brown and black stripes set off by a white bib and four white feet. His long whiskers and his long ear hair aka "ear furnishings" are snowy white also. His deep colors and his lush silky fur make him very striking. Of course, his nose had to be pink. He is still a baby. Maine Coons keep growing into their third years so he has a long ways to go.

He hates having his photo taken and that doesn't help at all. "Oh! You have a camera. Let me turn my head away and scowl." We have had several photo shoots with him only to throw all the photos away. We're used to it -- many cats are this way.

He loves to climb and play and eat and explore. About in that order. He is a classic kitten. If you cuddle with him, you find he is super sweet and really wants your love and affection. He seems a little sad right now so it will be fun to watch him grow into his Maine Coon silliness. Maine Coons are very smart cats and more often than not tend to be goofballs.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
