ELLIE's Story...
Ellie is a 10 year old chihuahua. She was a breed dog so she was left in a kennel and just used for breeding. She is looking for somewhere to have a home for the rest of her life. She is in good health but has no teeth because they were all bad, we had them pulled. She gets along with other dogs but she doesnt lknow how to play with them. She is just scared when you pick her up you know she just wants to be held but has never had any attention paid to her , so she doesnt know how. She is getting better in foster care and she loves to eat, and will eat hard food that is with warm water but she eats her crunchy treats with no problem. She loves her kennel, because she doesnt know any dofferent but we leave the door open and she waunders out and explores and then goes back later to her safe spot. She goes outside to potty or uses a potty pad. If you would like to meet this sweet senior please call 81689845646 or email barkindogs1@aol.com . She is longing for a home of her own, you can just tell it in her eyes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ELLIE, a Overland Park Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
