My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Golden Currie! The sweet and spicy dog from the north! He had a rough start to life, and prior to his rescue has lived his entire life as a stray without a home to ever call his own. Now that he's coming to know what the good life is all about, he couldn't be more grateful. He loves affection more than anything, and is loving making up for lost time by getting all the cuddles and pets he can get!

Currie is such a loyal dog, and will be your little shadow following you wherever you go. Currie was very emotionally shut down when he came to New Hope, but within a few short days, he gained his confidence and quickly became the happy-go-lucky dog he was meant to be.

He is very food motivated, which will make him easier to train. In fact, he has already learnt that nothing comes for free and that he needs to sit before getting treats. He is crate trained and he can stay in the crate when you go to work. He enjoys being active, and is quickly learning how fun playing can be. He loves playing with his toys especially with his rope! He loves going rolling blading or biking. But what he loves to do most is playing with other dogs! It doesn’t matter what size they are, from Yorkies to Labs, he loves playing with them all!

Even though Currie enjoys being active, he also enjoys lying near you and relaxing at the end of the day. Although he has come so far, he still has a lot to learn and will need a family that will continue to work with him, and continue to show him just how wonderful life in a loving home can be.
