Solo's Story...
Hi my name is Solo and I've moved to Oregon to find a new home and make a fresh start. I wasn't well taken care of before but I still love people! I just got my spa day so I look like a baby lamb but as soon as my hair growns out I am told I will be super handsome!. I am small, about 7 pounds. I am a Maltese so funny, cute and sweet. I have been micro-chipped, had my rabies, bordatella, and distemper/parvo/lepto vaccines, de-wormed and had flea medication applied. I come with a free health check at Mt. Tabor vet care. There are a couple things you need to know about me. I am special needs. I have a heart murmur and epilepsy. The doctor says that I need medication for the rest of my life but the good news is that he also says I should live a long and happy life plus the medication is really affordable. A 90 day supply is about 60 dollars. Hey I am worth it :-)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Solo, a Portland Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
