Nikki's Story...
Hi, my name's Nikki! I'm a 4 year old husky mix. I was found as a stray and brought into the shelter. Now I'm here looking for my forever home! I'm a very sweet dog and have a great personality. I am good with other dogs, and would probably be ok with cats also. I do not do well with kids. I am up to date on shots, spayed, and have a microchip. Now all I need is someone to love me and give me a home! Are you looking for a new furry friend? Think I might be the one? The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikki, a Youngwood Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
