Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET SAMMY. Sammy arrived in sad shape, but this sweet guy has received the works from the vet, and is looking quite dapper in his new summer haircut. Sammy is 8 years old, and has recovered quickly from his prior circumstances As predicted, he turned into a beauty when cleaned up. Fee: $195.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $195, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give him a happy, carefree life again? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
SPECIAL RESCUE. ODR, Inc. has rescued six dachshunds from an appallingly awful hoarding situation in the Colton area. These little guys were totally neglected and running free without supervision on a 10 acre parcel with no one caring or feeding them. They all need significant vet care and some recovery. Plus they must be placed with experienced adopters. They are all runners and a fenced yard is an absolute necessity. They are at the vet, getting the care they need to save their lives and prepare them for a much better future. Please consider donation.
