My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This precious little lady is Edy, a 10 year old Yorkie that would love a very special home of her own. Edy was found wandering the streets all alone, and it's unbelievable that someone could have let this little sweetheart go, or that she could have been neglected as badly as she was. Not only was Edy matted, dirty and disheveled upon arrival, but she also was in dire need of a complete dental overhaul. Our veterinarian did a complete workup on this sweet little lady and removed several teeth that had to have been causing her a lot of pain. She also discovered that Edy had the beginnings of pyometria, which was resolved upon her spaying Edy, and also an enlarged heart and heart murmur. To add to the neglect, Edy was also suffering with chronic dry eye. After her major medical overhaul, Edy is feeling like a brand new pup! Her heart and eye condition will require medication indefinitely but we feel that Edy has plenty of good times still ahead of her. She is a perfectly behaved little lady that adores everyone she meets. Instead of barking when she sees you, she just whines a little to get your attention so you'll take her out and cuddle with her. Edy doesn't ask for much, just some love and attention that she most definitely deserves. Edy doesn't seem to mind other dogs and just loves everyone. Please find it in your heart to give our special little lady the great life that she never had, but that she is so deserving of. 6/29/13 File#22589
