06/28 Roxie's Story...
Roxie- ID No.: A105350. I am a female red Chihuahua mix. I am about 2 years old. I have been at the shelter since June 28, 2013.

Little Roxy is just a fun loving girl looking for a family to call her own. She's outgoing and curious and gets along well with other dogs. Roxy would be the perfect buddy to travel with or just snuggle up next to on the couch. She has the cutest stub tail and a smile that lights up a room.

**NOTE: THE SHELTER HAS MOVED MANY OF THE LITTLE DOGS TO A ROOM OF THEIR OWN. PLEASE ASK TO SEE THEM IF YOU DO NOT SEE WHO YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN THE GENERAL KENNELS**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

06/28 Roxie, a Yuba City Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
