Nala's Story...

Our foster dogs live as family members in the foster home until chosen for adoption.

Hi, my name is Nala.

I AM NOW LIVING IN A WONDERFUL FOSTER HOME!!! My foster mom says this about me "Nala is a medium energy dog and very affectionate, playful and good with kids and other people. She is quiet in her crate and walks well on a leash. She needs a boost in confidence after being in the shelter . She does not bark, does well in the car and the house. Her charming face matches her personality.

I first came to the shelter as a stray. I had lost my family. It is no fun to be found as a stray and brought to the shelter. I miss being with my family.

I am a young lady, about two years old and I weigh around 45 pounds. See, I am a perfect size; not too big and not too small. I have already been spayed, given my basic shots, microchipped, and am heartworm negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nala, a Cincinnati Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Collie/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
