My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 10
Personality: Moose is a darling boy who came to us from a San Bernardino shelter after someone apparently poured lighter fluid on him and set him afire. Moose has had a rough life but you wouldnt know it by interacting with him. Moose is an exceptionally sweet boy who loves being near his owner. He does well with other dogs, even high energy ones and is not aggressive around food or treats. He loves going on walks and exploring all the different smells. He does well on leash, but will stop and smell every rose if given the chance. He is learning how to play with other dogs and toys, as he hasnt had much opportunity previously. Moose is a mellow dog that would happily enjoy a quiet life filled with love. He loves to roll around on carpet and follow his owner around the house. He is learning to sit and stay, as well as safely maneuver up and down stairs. I have been told he is dog door trained, but I do not have a dog door so we have had a couple accidents but we are getting on a schedule and he is doing much better. Moose is very quiet dog unless he is left in a kennel. He does not like being left alone or restricted to a small space. He is doing much better with this as he has become used to a schedule. Also, I found that leaving the radio on and having him near his foster sisters kennel is quite helpful.
Issues: Nearly deaf. Cataract one eye, but vision is still good. Has just had two seizures under control with Phenobarbitol starting July 2013
Moose's Story:
Moose is senior boy who is gentle and easy going and just wants to be near his family. He will do best in a home with someone who is home most of the time.
