Tatum's Story...
Sacramento- Tatum is a 2 year old Shih Tzu girl. She was found stray and never reclaimed from the shelter which is shocking since she is well kept, has a really nice collar on and was obviously someone's cherished girl. She is good with dogs and people and cats. She didn't try to play with the little dogs, but immediately wanted to play with one of my big dogs. She will play with me and snuggle as well. She just is amazing. She will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and come with a month of free pet insurance. You can find out about our process and apply online at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tatum, a Sacramento Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
